The new CAM Rueda Matosinhos features three exhibition centers: an exhibition exclusively devoted to work produced by Gerardo Rueda; a magnificent showcase of the artist's collection, gathered over several decades, including representative names of modern art, Tápiés, Miró, Fernando Zóbel, Pablo Serrano, Millares, Antonio Saura, José de Guimarães, Alberto Carneiro, Nikias Skapinakis, Gerardo Burmester, Albuquerque Mendes and Noronha da Costa.

Melgaço Castle currently consists of an imposing keep - with three floors, a parapet protruding over corbels, crowned by pyramidal merlons and with a hipped tile roof - and the surrounding walled enclosure, in a good state of conservation. It is believed that it may have had 3 towers and two doors, according to Duarte de Armas in his “Livro das Fortalezas” (Book of Fortresses) from 1509. The current tower houses the Melgaço Keep Tower Museum.

Fortified settlement well highlighted in the landscape, located on the left bank of the River, Rabagão overlooking the EN 103 and near the second entrance to Vila da Ponte, coming of Montalegre. Highlights include the obvious line of wall surrounding the village and the two deep parallel ditches between themselves. Inside and on the surface are barely evident traces of occupation. Here are a wide visibility over the surrounding territory, including about the castro de Valongo.

Built in the 13th century to house the mendicant order of San Francisco, it underwent several renovations in the following centuries, with the Mannerist façade dating back to 1635. In the second half of the 19th century, in the convent area, it was built the Military Hospital and, later, the Duke of Bragança Asylum. Among the various 18th century altarpieces it has, the one in the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição stands out, in which some rocaille applications are notorious.

Carlos). José Dias Ferreira created the Constituent Party and he was a Deputy during 25 legislatures. Born in new village, in the parish of Pombeiro da Beira in November 30, 1837 and died in Vidago the September 8, 1907.
