From the Luís Cipriano Square, by the Coimbra Street, enter the República Square, framed by the buildings of the Town-Hall, dated from the XVIII century. The Aveiro city Arms are inscribed in the fronton, ended by a clock tower. The Aveirense Theatre (1947) and the most beautiful classical portico of the Misericórdia Church stand out. This route, which stretches over 5.6 kilometers, follows the winding lines of the cliffs located between Praia de Vale Centianes and Praia da Marinha. The route runs along a line of cliffs, interrupted by some lines of water, which flow above sea level, giving rise to "hanging valleys". Along the route, the visitor has the help of almost two dozen information panels, explaining the route and identifying the main points of interest.

This route passes through Constancy, Rio de Moinhos, Alferrarede, Sardoal, Mação, Sparrowhawk and São Miguel do Rio Torto. In Constancy passes through five points: the Old Source, dated 1848 and also known as Amores Source; the St. John source, dated from the second half of the 19th century; the source of St. John, built in 1849; the source of Portela, built in 1882; and the source of the Ana, built in the years 90.

A small village located on the slopes of Cabeço de Monsanto, at an altitude of 758 meters, known as "the most Portuguese village in Portugal." Wild nature and human construction combine in a harmonious combination, resembling, from a distance, a stone fortress. The houses are "invaded" by enormous granite boulders that serve as floors, walls, and ceilings. A settlement of military origins, it was here that, according to legend, Viriato withstood a seven-year siege. Monsanto Castle was recaptured from the Arabs.

It belongs to the parish of Valada and is one of the few fishing villages of Avieiros, who came from the Vieira de Leiria area, that still maintain their characteristics. The writer Alves Redol, known for writing about the Tagus River and its people, was one of the most famous inhabitants of this typical fishing village. The houses are colorful and made of wood, of the stilt house type, supported on pillars, in order to prevent the occurrence of floods, which normally plague this region in winter.
