The temple features a facade topped by a bell tower with two windows. Of particular note are the capitals decorated with phytomorphic and zoomorphic elements, and the narrow windows with sculpted columns depicting the patron saints of the Order of Malta, Saint John the Baptist and Saint John the Evangelist.

Replica of the old São João Batista Fort located there, built in 1730, due to the pirate attacks on Porto Moniz. In 1998, the town's Municipal Council acquired the ruins, completely restoring it and giving it its original appearance, in order to house the Madeira Aquarium.

Building inaugurated as Diocesan Seminary in the late 16th century. In 1765 suffered major changes, by order of Bishop Dom João de Azevedo. In the first half of the 20th century worked as primary school and, in 1961, was inaugurated here the Municipal Museum of Portalegre.

This is a Romanic temple from the 12th century that used to belong to the Knights templar and later to the hermits of Saint Augustine, afterwards passing to the Order of Christ. It stands out the main portico and on the yard, some tombstones. The ceiling on the main chapel is from the 18th century.

A simple romanesque temple (12th century), very typical and interesting. It belonged to the Order of the Malta Hospital, by the Fergim Monastery (Amarante), as one can see in the cross sculpted on the main door. It has two crosses: an orbicular one and a gothic one (in copper).

A temple built in the 15th century, composed of one nave and five altars. On the lateral walls of the chancel there are two tile panels of the 1700s. The main body of the temple is covered by a frieze of tiles, also of the 1700s. It has a Renaissance portal with the sign of the Order of Santiago.

Fifth of wine production, revival and neo-Baroque transformed into cottages. The large property, has within it an old hostel, which served as a support for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Highlights also include the Chapel, the garden and the Lake House.

The tavern of the Shah is a reference in the region, a reference point for tasting products of the region. Stands out the tiles of veal and pork noissetes au gratin with mozzarella. The terrace has a privileged view of the Tagus River, with the bridge 25 April and the Cristo-Rei as a backdrop.
