The Manor of Almiros, future ethnographic museum is integrated in reserve design visitable Museum, located in the municipality of Tondela (this manor was offered by Dr. John Almiro to parish of Nandufe).

It is on the way to Colmeal da Torre that you can find this enigmatic building of Roman origin, classified as a National Monument since 1927. There are several theories and legends linked to this rectangular building with three floors, whose initial function remains undefined, but which was possibly integrated into a Roman villa. One of these legends maintains that it was a prison with 100 cells, where Saint Cornelius, who formerly also named it, would have been imprisoned.

The house where José Régio lived for 34 years, enrolled at the Mouzinho da Silveira High School in Portalegre. It began as a boarding house and was gradually acquired by the poet until he became the only guest. Here, you can admire some of the pieces the poet collected throughout his life. Among the collections, religious art sculptures and regional crafts stand out.

It probably was one of the most remarkable lordly houses from this region, in its time. In this monument we stand out its crenel towers, the gallery with ten down arches above Toscan small columns and doors and windows with frames from the fifteen hundreds. In 2001 it suffered a partial rock fall from the vast arcade from the second floor from the main façade.

The octopus and whelk salads or the goose barnacles are fine entries.
