It is at the top of a hill that we find the remains of the walls of Sernancelhe Castle. This rock castle dates back to the 12th/13th centuries, featuring an irregular circular plan. Don't forget to pay attention to the Porta do Sol, with its full arch. Very close by, we find the Cruzeiro do Senhor dos Aflitos.

The Parque de Campismo de Arganil, located in Sarzedo, and near the river Alva, offers the ideal conditions to enjoy pleasant moments of relaxation in contact with nature. The fort was built primarily to defend the area, as well as its inhabitants, who traveled from the parish headquarters (Alcantarilha) to this location to dedicate themselves to their "art of work." Around 1720, a chapel dedicated to the fort's patron saint was built within the fortress. Today, it is known as the Chapel of Our Lady of the Afflicted.
