In this museum the story of Ovar and its people is told. Old regional costumes and delicate embroidery, objects related to ancient customs and professions, examples of architecture and interiors of popular houses make up part of the exhibition. Also noteworthy are the hundreds of dolls from many countries and the collection of contemporary paintings and ceramics.

The changes made by the architect Souto Moura at the former Alfândega (customs) building gave the place another aspect. This exhibition aims to allow the public to know, generally, the communication and transports contribute in these days. One of the big attractions of this museum is the permanent exhibition: “O automóvel no espaço e no tempo” (history of the car).

The Pitões das Júnias waterfall, located in the heart of Peneda-Gêres National Park, is fed by the crystal-clear waters that flow past the Santa Maria das Júnias Monastery. 17TH-century manor house located in the historic centre of Moimenta da Beira. It is an ancient noble House that had after several occupants, including a football club, a tax office, a Treasury, a school and a barracks of the GNR. Nowadays, it functions as a rural tourism hotel. Part of the route of the Císter vineyards.

A rectangular, two-story Baroque house, of the ecclesiastical palace type used for recreation. The farm and palace were founded by D. Rodrigo de Moura Teles, a notable figure in the Catholic Church, in the 18th century. Currently, it houses the President's Office, the City Council, the main hall, and the municipal auditorium.

This space hosts sporting activities but also cultural spectacles and other initiatives.
