This House is classified as a building of municipal value. Built in 1814, the building is located on the southern slopes of the Douro River in front of the pinion. Since 2004 it is a tourism and is, as always, linked to the production of wine. The House features a nice porch where breakfasts are served. Dinners are served under advance booking guests. On cooler evenings it offers an interior room with fireplace and table games. Abroad has a swimming pool with fantastic panoramic views of the Duero.

The construction of the Cape Espichel lighthouse, dating back to 1790, is linked to the first attempt of lighting up the Portuguese shoreline (known as the "dark coasts" by the British sailsmen until the second half of the 18th century). The lighting system was changed only in 1883. From then on, ther were several changes made in order to improve the signaling, both of sound and vision. Currently, the lighthouse can be viewd from a distance of 26 miles and is fully automated.

It is on the way to Colmeal da Torre that you can find this enigmatic building of Roman origin, classified as a National Monument since 1927. There are several theories and legends linked to this rectangular building with three floors, whose initial function remains undefined, but which was possibly integrated into a Roman villa. One of these legends maintains that it was a prison with 100 cells, where Saint Cornelius, who formerly also named it, would have been imprisoned.
