Church rebuilt between the 15th and 16th centuries on the site of a primitive existed temple built in 1255. The Manueline sculpture and portal for the plateresca sculpture of the font.

Built on the site of the former manor house of the Dukes of Aveiro, it was inaugurated on August 1, 1884. It features three staggered sections separated by supporting elements.

The target of several archaeological campaigns, the Vale do Mouro site has revealed a seven-thousand-year-old Neolithic settlement and a surprising Roman village, when it was thought the site had only been occupied in the third and fourth centuries AD. Silica and quartz flakes were found from the Neolithic period, while a mosaic panel, a unique find in inland Portugal, and a treasure trove of approximately 5,000 coins were discovered in the Roman bathhouse area. The Coriscada Sociocultural Center hosts a permanent exhibition dedicated to this site, the full significance of which remains to be seen.

This is a place to visit for the natural beauty and tranquillity that it offers. From here can be seen the Machados mill, there’s plenty of space for picnics and a good catch!

A small circular trail, 5 km long, where one may visit the small villages that exist in a town and the ways of life of their inhabitants.

A rather scenic village whre one must visit the parish church and the Chapel of Saint António. Famed for its black clay craftswork.

Unhais-o-Velho is crossed by the Unhais river. The Parish Church, the Poligonal Chapel of Santo Cristo and the Chapel of Saint Sebastião are worth a visit.

House-museum where objects belonging to Egas Moniz, the only Portuguese doctor to receive the Nobel Prize for Medicine, in 1949, can be visited.
