This viewpoint is located on the outskirts of the town, on one of the slopes leading down to the Aguieira reservoir. From the granite rocks of Pedra da Sé, you can enjoy magnificent views of the reservoir.

A vacation area par excellence, these pools are formed by the cutting of basalt rocks of a volcanic nature. The Caldeira, a crater 2000 meters in diameter and 400 meters deep, results from the volcanic nature of Faial Island. It's a beauty for the eyes, as long as the weather conditions alow it. Inland, the diversity of botanical habitats deserves to be highlighted: laurel forest, cedar forests, peat bogs, reeds, among others.

A pedestrian trail along the Levada do Moinho. Levadas are ingenious irrigation systems on the islands hillsides that bring the water - born on the mountain top - to the valleys and hillsides.

A 5.4 kilometres long pedestrian walk where one can get to know a large part of the island of Porto Santo, mostly its natural beauties.

Between 1811 and 1816, Almeida Garrett French invasions took refuge in this House. Years later, returns to the island and passes to reside at the Palace of the captains Generals.
