A well-known waterfall that plunges approximately 60 meters from the top of the Freita mountain range. It is located between Vale de Cambra and Arouca. It can be appreciated from a viewpoint near Castanheira, on the opposite side of the slope.

Located within the National Ecological Reserve, the Pataias Lagoon is the main wetland in the municipality, and one of the main migratory points for aquatic birds. There, it is possible to observe these species through the observatory, and also discover a variety of fish. On the shore, there is a picnic area where you can enjoy a picnic in contact with nature.

A dam in the parish of São João Baptista, which shelters the Abrilongo stream. It was built with the aim of serving as a base for an extensive irrigation system, however, due to the excellent conditions it offers, it also allows for the practice of sporting activities.

A mixed-type dam (earth and buttress) located in a rugged area of ​​fields and olive groves on the Caia River. Sports and leisure activities are restricted to certain areas of use.

A lagoon of approximately 1.3 km² with an elongated shape, formed by two main lagoon bodies connected by a narrow channel. Surrounded by vast sandy cliffs, this location has calm waters and serves as a refuge for migratory, aquatic, and wading birds. It is believed that this lagoon may have been the Tagus River's route to the sea, located 150 meters away. This fish spawning ground has protected dunes.

From Ancão (east of Faro) to Manta Rota Beach, the Ria Formosa presents itself as a unique configuration that gives the Algarve's leeward coast a special color. The 60 km that make up the Ria Formosa Natural Park are composed of semi-still waters, mudflats, mangroves, salt pans, channels, and five islets. Barreta, Culatra, Armona, Tavira, and Cabanas are the names of these constantly transforming sandy formations, which, separating the land from the sea, create an extremely rich natural barrier in terms of flora and fauna. It has been classified as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Portugal.

Ideal for sport fishing enthusiasts, the mouth of the Guadiana River offers excellent views of the neighboring country. In Castro Marim, with the widening of the riverbed, the area classified as a Nature Reserve is dominated by salt marshes and former rice paddies. The Guadiana River runs for 830 km and is navigable for the last 48 km, where its width varies between 100 and 500 meters.
