The primitive church was destroyed in 1755, and its reconstruction was ordered by Dom José, at the ruins of the Misericórdia Church, from which was save the lateral portal, manueline, two windows, also manueline, a low embossed work of Nossa Senhora da Misericórdia and the Santíssimo Sacramento chapel, from the XVII century.

The Celas Monastery is a construction of sober character, showing the influence of several architectonical styles. At the church are worthy of notice the manueline arched roof, a 17th century glazed tiles panelling and several portals and arches with renaissant and manueline characteristics. The cloisters’ galleries present pictures representing memorable events at the chapiters.

Located on the Cadavais riverbank, near the mouth of the Guadiana River, it boasts golden sand and is equipped with a wide range of facilities and services, including a parking lot, a bar, a picnic area with wooden tables, showers, a beach volleyball court, and restrooms.

This castle possessed one of the best defensive border walls. Currently, only a few gates, sections of the wall, and towers crowning the hilltop remain. Several anthropomorphic tombs are also preserved near the east gate. Its layout had an irregular configuration, almost without battlements, and with three gates (the West Gate, the Arch Gate, and St. Peter's Gate), a keep, and four more towers.

Farm house with simple lines without ornaments. Inside highlights the entrance hall with ceiling of mixer decorated in the Center with a coat of arms. The chapel with a single ship has an arcosolium with Ark Tomb about three lions, Francisco João Henriques Martins, and a pulpit foursquare. The main altar has carved altarpiece which includes eight paintings to frame the image of figure of Saint Bernard.

The Machado restaurant, in Nogueira, is a typical space, serving good traditional food, without inventions or pretensions. The space, which is large, is divided into four rooms. The famous house is always full, but the wait will be worth it and guarantees the desire to return. Good mood has been one of the hallmarks of the house for 25 years. Specializing in the typical cuisine of the Lafões region, roast veal is the ex-libris of this restaurant.

Located near the São Pedro do Sul thermae, in a deep valley surrounded by cliffs, with the so.called Hell Portal to the west. This villag is composed of small schist houses and narrow streets with vines. The inhabitants are farmers and shepherds, mostly corn farmers. It has one of the biggest communal goat herds in the country.
