The Bairro Alto has this uncommon space where onee can savour a glass of Port in perfect tranquility. It is one of the favourite tourists spots, where the variety of Port is surprising. It is open between 2 pm and midnight.

After having remained closed for several years, this space was deply remodelled and re-opened in March 2006. It welcomes several cultural activities, from workshops to concerts, theatre plays and performances for the youngest, among others.

This temple was constructed in 1782 and it has dome coverage in stone. The plant is longitudinal and it is composed by rectangular nave and main chapel. On the main façade there is a door with a pediment centred by two windows and topped by a round opening with framed span.

The museum opened in 1982 after a donation from the antique dealer Manuel Gameiro, with the City Council providing the building. It is divided into five themed rooms, allowing for an understanding of national and local history from the 18th century.
