Neoclassical House with main façade with three structured cloths by pilasters, built in the mid-nineteenth century by Martins Sarmento family. In the 20th century, worked here the town hall for a few years, after being donated to the University of Minho, there lay a Cultural Unit.

There were previously 36 metal frame mills in the municipality of Cadaval, which reflects the importance of cereal production. The 18th and 19th century documentation does not state the source with the designation by which it is now known, or referred to on this site.
