Small town fortified with iron age\/occupation during Roman times. The excavations performed include those uncovered a housing district, with oval houses and sub-retangulares, a section of wall with 2 meters wide and, on the outside, a wall that has worked as backup. In explorations in the early 20th century were found several elements of Roman coins and pottery, as well as an elliptical tank. The Piece is divided into farms, some wooded and horticultadas. Source located opposite the Parque da Piedade and the Church of the Lord Jesus da Piedade. The sober style, typical of the time of construction, and the 3 blue and white tile panels representing different scenes: "Prudence", "abundance" and "Storm", respectively. The sink is rectangular and has two water spouts.

This temple was built beetween the 15th and 16th centuries and later rebuilt following a fire. In its interior, a special note to the images of Our Lady of Assunção and Our Lady of Piedade. In the sacristy there is a set of images of the 18th century, with a special note to the image of Jesus as a Child, wearing clothes of the time.

Associated with the Museum of the keep, in these ruins can observe and interpret the medieval history of the County. The space consists of a medieval moat, through which it circulates, and sidewalks of different times, and may also be subject to other pieces, found during excavations, like a catapult projectile and several stones to throw.

A building of the 16th century, reformed in the 18th century, that has a façade with two floors. The manuelin influences are notorious in three of the portals. In the centre of the façade thre is the coat of arms of the Abreu Lima that replaced the one of the Távoras, destroyed during the time when the Marquês de Pombal was prime minister.

For some time, it was thought to be the ruins of the Church of Santa Maria of the village, the oldest parish church in the village. However, after archaeological surveys in 1983 and 1992\/1993, was concluded to be another building, maybe the previous jail or Paços do Concelho. Remains standing a block in mushroom-shaped masonry.

Located at an altitude of 488 meters, it has been a place of worship since ancient times. The Chapel of Our Lady of Penha was built out of popular devotion, after an apparition of Our Lady to a shepherdess. Also, noteworthy are the hermitage of Saint Saturnino and the romantic-revivalist mansion from 1918.

This manor house is composed by two volumes constructed in different times and it also has a chapel constructed in honour of São Domingos. One of the bodies shows an erudite construction with Renaissance lines. It should be pointed out the stonework and its decoration and also the chapel façade from the seventeen hundreds.
