Housed in the city's former Bishop's Palace, this museum was established in 1917. The most notable feature of the museum's collection is its eclecticism. The collection is primarily from the 18th century, spanning the period from the 1st century to the present day, with a clear emphasis on the Renaissance period. Highlights include the Flemish tapestries and paintings by Vasco Fernandes. The Gothic transept located here is classified as a Property of Public Interest.

Urban Palace with two floors, whose original construction dates from the 15th century. After being badly damaged by the earthquake of 1755, it was rebuilt between 1835 and 1836, settling here the Judicial Court of judicial district. In 1841, part of the building became the National Theatre, later called Teatro Virginia. Currently, it houses the headquarters of the Association of Defense of heritage and the band Torrejana Workers.

The former recreational estate of the Bishops of Porto, comprising a beautiful 18th-century house in the purest Baroque style and with a strong influence from the school of Nicolau Nasoni – it is thought that the statuary and some architectural elements may even be his work. Here we find the beautiful "Gardens of Maia", fountains, chapels and a swimming pool. Inside, the chapel with its 17th-century gilded altarpiece deserves mention.

The Sea restaurant in sight, in Ericeira, is located next to the beach of fishermen and, despite its name, little or nothing can be seen of this small house, with capacity of ten tables. Here, the seafood are the bane of customers, since the eyes has a wide range of choices, from clams to lobsters, the spools, barnacles, prawns, shrimp and lobsters. A feast that can be completed with rice, Masada, feijoada, Acorda or the seafood cataplana.

In the heart of the town, in a large square, stands this imposing medieval castle, with a quadrangular plan and protected by cylindrical cubes, crowned with battlements, Gothic portals and a tall square keep. This, around 44 meters high, has a hall with a barrel-vaulted ceiling. At the entrance to the fortress, an armored marble tombstone inscribes the record of the castle's foundation, in 1359, by King Pedro I. Quinta do Convento da Franqueira, situated in Barcelos, is a space of turismo de habitação installed in a former Franciscan convent from the 16th century. Castro deployed down upon the village, on the right side of the road that connects Hill to stop, a granite promontory. It is believed that existed here a fortified settlement, opinion supported by collecting pottery shards and indigenous oral information micácea who claim that here existed walls and remains of dwellings. Currently, there are little evident traces of ancient population occupation.

The Cabreira mountain is a 1286 metres high elevation. It belongs to the Peneda-Gerês mointanous system. It has quite unique beauties and has several tourism resources that will dazzle the visitors with its natural riches. The spring of the Ave river, that flows along the wild rocky formations, is located here. Many exquisite waterfalls are also to b found here.
