Rectangular plant building, with facades with two and three records, built in the 20th century. In 2000 suffered deep recovery works and is fully changed. Currently, continues as the seat of the Banco de Portugal.

Despite the successive renovations that changed its origin, this church maintains the 16th century logic, quadrangular, formed by eight columns with composite capitals. The chapel, inside, has a 16th century style.

This very simple Chapel, was built in the 18th century, suffering after profound changes in the 20th century. On the main facade, a fake frame, padded the belfry with access by stairs and intensely decorated altarpiece.

This Thursday we highlight the main building, with composite plant in and and cover performed by rooftops by one, three and four waters, in coruchéu and Dormer window. The interior, with coverage in barrel vault, is completely changed.

Work of the sculptor Agostinelli, paying homage to the traditional florists of Madeira. During many years it was at the Hotel Atlantis Madeira, but after its demolition it was offered to Santa Cruz autarchy that placed it on the gardens of the Casa da Cultura (Culture house) at Quinta do Revoredo.

A bronze statue, over a marble base, paying homage to Gonçalo Mendes da Maia “O Lidador”, hero of the foundation of the nationality, whose first king of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, nominated his “Adeantado”. The statue is by the sculptor Lima de Carvalho.

Church with Baroque and Rococo influences. Features single ship with chorus-high and chancel. The Bell Tower's cupola for the classroom and within any decor is enlivened by the retabulística. The Rococo arises in ashlars of tiles and stucco notes with shell motifs, pay phones and bat wings.
