The Alvalade Park, createc in the beginning of the 90’s, includes the Alvalade wood and the former Quinta do Narigão, in a total of 21ha. The wood area offers leisure, entertainment and sports equipment. The remaining area of the park is a pleasant space with lots of trees, a picnic area, a playground and sports area, namely slide.

In 1863, practically 100 years after th construction of the palace, Francis Cook asked Francis Birt to create the Monserrate Park. The park has thousands of trees and plants from different locations in the world. The most exotic come from Japan (bamboos) and from America (yuccos). A special note as well to the several grottos, waterfalls, lakes and corners of the park.

Park with wide grassy area, area with picnic tables and benches, as well as an area with grill for public use, with artificial lighting. There is also a children's playground and a maintenance circuit.
