A small fajã located between Fajã da Ponta Grossa or Fajã do Mero and Fajã da Abelheira. It is almost completely abandoned, except for the inhabitants of Norte Pequeno, who come here to graze their cattle and cultivate the land. There are many springs, and it is known that an old watermill once stood here. Access is on foot, via a shortcut that begins in Norte Pequeno, or by car, descending the Fajã da Penedia path to Canto da Abelheira, then continuing on foot.

The Almedina Arch was part of the medieval walls, dating back to the 11th century, as indicated by the Arabic-origin toponym meaning "the city". Today it is the entrance to old Coimbra, where one can see a sculpture from the workshop of João de Ruão. The wall has Roman origins, having been expanded several times. It presents characteristics of Roman, Muslim, Romanesque, Gothic and Manueline architecture.

Consisting of two floors based on a rectangular plant, the facade is disastrous and it highlights the structural elements, whose traces are simple and sober. Today only preserved a part of the Palace before, why are no longer some characteristic elements of this architecture, beyond which are still visible the damage caused by projectiles, in 1810.

This church is in honour to Tomar city Patron Saint: Santa Iria. The present church resulted from the improvements done on the 16th century, standing out the fifteen hundreds door and a lateral chapel from João de Castilho. In this chapel stands out the stone altarpiece and the renaissance decoration (two Indian busts are quite remarkable). The altar, in Ançã stone, is attributed to João de Ruão.
