The Open-Air Museum is the ideal place to learn about the history of the municipality of Campo Maior and its people, from prehistory to the present day, without forgetting its ongoing connection with Spain.
Protohistoric fortified settlement, surrounded by a wall built in earth, preceded by a moat, with the defensive system only partially preserved. Inside there are circular and rectangular buildings and an open Roman habitat, called a "villa".
