A very long beach, surrounded by pine forests and dunes. Hidden in the cliffs are the caves of the Orca Oven Cave, an ecological and preserved area. When visiting the beach, the presence of the Agueira Dune is surprising, as it is one of the highest dunes in all of Europe. It has a water park.

The village of Alvito da Beira is believed to be of Moorish origin. According to historians, it was the Arabs who introduced the first olive groves to the region. These reached such a size that by the early 20th century, there were 10 olive presses in the parish. Small walls were built to protect the olive trees, of which traces still remain. In terms of architectural heritage, the main church, cross, old fountain, Mó fountain, Dáspera fountain, and Sobrainho fountain stand out. Crafts include weaving, tinsmithing, hand-made shoemaking, and blacksmithing.

Located on a counterfort of the Gardunha mountain, between the valley and the foothill, this is one of the oldest villages in the parish. The romanesque church with ulterior details, the chapels of the Holy Spirit, Saint Pelágio, Our Lady of Conceição, Our Lady of Amparo, Saint Tiago, Saint Sebastian and Saint Catarina, the House of Saint peter, the custody, the 16th century houses and the fountains of Figueiredo and of the Rua da Fonte (Fountain Street) stand out. Fortified village with defensive organization consisting of three lines of walls. On the central platform, the urban planning shows an axial paved street, through the center of the village, appearing to intersect with another, forming four large units. Each one of them is divided into family nuclei made up of several buildings around a patio that is almost always paved. The excavations carried out from the beginning of the 20th century confirm the occupation of this region in a period that extends from the 7th century BC. until the 1st century AD.

Built in 1722, the crucifix was put inside the chapel in 1732. In the XVIII the panels and lateral altars were covered in golden woodcarving and the small bell was placed. In the XIX century it suffered several repairs and, in the XX century, preservation and valorization works were made. The chapel, with characteristics of joanino (King John of Portugal time) baroque, is a polygonal chapel. Although it has an erudite outline, this exemplar shows the participation of regional masters. The covering in woodcarving and the two oil paintings from the master André Gonçalves stand out.

Founded in the 13th century by the abbot of Alcobaça, the Monastery of Santa Maria de Coz was one of the most important monastic complexes in the region and the most important monastery of the female branch of the Cistercian Order. The current building, of impressive simplicity, derives from works carried out mainly in the 17th century. The sober aspect of the exterior of the building contrasts with the Baroque interior. The church, about 50 meters long, reveals the grandeur of the old monastery and has coffered wooden ceilings, 17th-18th century tiles, and gilded altarpieces.

A museum that features objects related to the region's traditional activities, namely the barbershop, the regional kitchen, the wine callar, the killing of the pig and many others, as well as important documets regarding th evolution of the parish since 1955.

The present church resulted from the improvements done on the 16th century, standing out the fifteen hundreds door and a lateral chapel from João de Castilho.
