They have beautiful rooms and galleries filled with limestone formations, with a visitable length of 350 meters and a depth of 45 meters. There is an underground bar located in an adjacent cave, Cova da Moura, where there is a fully illuminated cave extending for about 50 meters.

It was built in the 1960s and covers approximately 38,000 square meters. Surrounded by a wall on all sides, it is bordered by houses, the river, the school, and the park's facilities. Church probably built in the 13th century or 14TH CENTURY, consisting of a longitudinal plan with two juxtaposed rectangles, divided into a nave and a chancel lower and narrow. This temple features, on the façade, the portal with ridged and Romanesque rosacea imposed and, laterally, a port also Romanesque. Here he married the infanta d. Maria, daughter of d. Afonso IV.

Manueline chapel dated from the XVI century, of which remains the ogival arch of the transept. In 1554 the principal chapel was covered with Azulejo Sevilhano (glazed tile) and the body of the church, as well as the portal were repaired. In the XII century the retable and the pulpit were built. Later, in the XVIII century the collateral retables and the wood ceiling were placed.

On the main facade of this church, stands a Manueline portal of Arch of carena. The interior is of a ship, 1468-lined and covered with roof of mixer painted. The chancel is of the late 18th century, and here, a large canvas of Pedro Alexandrino, "Supper", in 1802. In the chapel of Santo António, flooring tile "carpet" and the Tabernacle of the altar in carved 17TH century, overlaid by a crucifix in ivory.

The church was rebuilt in the 16th century, but today it retains little of its original design. On the main façade, the Manueline portal, framed by pilasters with Renaissance decorative elements, and the 16th-century bell tower stand out. Inside, the 18th-century tile cladding, the Baroque carved altarpiece, and the 16th-century paintings of an old altarpiece deserve special attention.
