The House integrates a set of buildings typical of the region, associated to the flour mills powered by the force of water from the river. Rebuilt in 2003, the Centennial House maintains the same traces of the old House. The garden in front of the House, from the living room, is par excellence a privileged balcony, overlooking the river Alva. The surrounding the beach is characterized by a vast forest cover, which makes it pleasant walks, bike or off-road motorcycle.

After more than a century of activity, the Raul da Bernarda company decided to open the museum's doors to the public in 2000, on its own initiative, making it possible, since then, to learn about the history of the oldest earthenware factory in Alcobaça.
