It is the second-highest peak on the island of Madeira, with an altitude of 1818 meters. It offers a magnificent view and, when the weather is good, you can see the neighboring island of Porto Santo. It has an inn, a restaurant and a souvenir shop and is one of the most visited peaks on the island due to good access and the trails that connect it to Pico das Torres and Pico Ruivo, which are very well-prepared and signposted.

To know this city, start by Praça Luís de Camões, also known as old square. From this heart of the city, located right next to the Cathedral, set off to discover the funny alleys filled with interesting monuments. Highlight to the Cathedral, the Castle and the old Episcopal Palace. Also be sure to visit the famous tiles from Vilar Formoso, about fifty panels by João Alves de Sá.

Small chapel from the 17th century, located at the top of Monte Crasto, a kind of natural fortress, with 194 meters of altitude and a beautiful panoramic view over Gondomar, Gaia and Porto. In front of the chapel, we can see side crosses dating from 1757 and a central one from 1759. Throughout the park, there are caves, picnic areas and romantic flowerbeds that invite you to visit.

For a long time, São Miguel Island was the only place in Europe where tea was manufactured. The Fábrica de Chá Gorreana began planting tea in 1874, but it was only in 1883 that the first tea came off the production line. The retrospective of tea production can be visited daily at the Gorreana farm. Then, among ancient tea production machines, enjoy an aromatic tea. It has a private park.

Opened in 2006, this museum aims to promote and publicize the region's famous cheese, as well as the shepherds/farmers. Here you can learn about the area dedicated to the artisanal production of this renowned product, as well as find information about the Cheese Route. If you wish, the museum also organizes visits to an artisanal cheese factory and allows participation in the sowing/planting of crops, according to the agricultural calendar.

The church consists of a single nave and a main façade served by a two-flight staircase and a classically designed portico with a triangular pediment. The interior is covered by a barrel vault, and the main altar features a 16th-century altarpiece with fluted Ionic columns. It features painted panels, the main one depicting a Visitation, while the four side panels and three upper panels allude to the seven works of Mercy.

Exemplary monument of the grandeur of the Age of Discoveries, which is the maximum exponent of the Manueline style. The initial risk belongs to Boitaca, the architect who laid the foundations for the work. Built in limestone, it has a facade that exceeds 300 meters. Highlights include the exuberantly decorated south portico, which is one of the masterpieces of Flaming Gothic, and a double cloister considered one of the most beautiful in the world. A must-visit monument.

The Sanctuary of São Bento das Pêras, located atop the hill of the same name, at an altitude of 410 meters, is a pilgrimage site for thousands of believers. The religious festival honoring this patron saint of Vizela takes place on July 11th, with a procession and an open-air mass. It is a pleasant gathering place for the masses. Some also visit the site simply to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Vizela River valley.

The most important worship space, dedicated to our Lady of graces, is flanked by the old cemetery of the village. The main façade has a rectangular portal, flanked by two horizontal slots, surmounted by an oculus, the stretching of the gable has a bell tower with a Bell, crowned by a cross flanked by triangular pinnacles with ball. Inside this Chapel stands the high altar in gilded and marbled wood that houses local devotions religious imaginary.

The chapel of Vilarinho da Mó, dedicated to Saint Mamede, is a granite building East\/West oriented, deployed on the highest of the village, within a walled courtyard where you will find the old cemetery. The main façade has a rectangular portal and in the elongation of the gable, a Bell Tower surmounted by a cross. Inside this Chapel stands the high altar, in gilt, which occupies the central part of the wall of the headboard, and imaginary religious houses.
