Largest artificial lake in Europe, originating from the Alqueva dam, located on the Guadiana river. The reservoir reaches, at its maximum level, 250 km², investing in infrastructure to support tourists. Here you can practice several sporting and leisure activities.

With a superb view over Porto, it has the mastery of chef Ricardo Costa, who has also won two Michelin Stars here. The cuisine is sophisticated and creative, inspired by regional ingredients, where fish and the freshest products take pride of place.

Working composed by the church body, single nave, transept and main chapel, vestry, annex and conventual rooms. At the main chapel stands out the rococo carved retable, semicircular vault with perspective painted wood ceiling, representing Nossa Senhora do Carmo and a set of four paintings from José Rasquinho, representing the life of Santo Elias. At the Convent stands out the main façade, with three bodies, three panes delimited by pilasters, angles and ashlar mansonry cyma, with three interspaces for each floor.

The church, a fifteen hundreds foundation was remodelled on the 17th century. It presents a “pattern” glazed tiles panel, the pulpit and the barrel ceiling with empty coffers. From the medieval period stands out the ogival arches from the transept chapels recovered with glazed tiles from the 17th century and two Gothic tombstones. It also stands out two holly water fonts, both of them from the fifteen hundreds. From the Gospel side there is one chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Rosário with golden carving altarpieces.

One of the best known streets in the village, in the heart of the Historic Center of Ponte de Lima, which on party nights becomes a kind of open-air disco, where bars serve drinks and music comes out everywhere.

This chapel exists since the XV century and, at the façade, a curious XVIII century niche stands out, with the images of Nossa Senhora da Silva, São João Baptista and São Baldomero. Gay colours appear at the windows and doors.

Cruise where stands out the ornament of the faces of the plinth with the typical bat wing Rococo, and the quality of capital and of the image of Christ crucified. The figure is represented with great detail and anatomical concerns: long hair, beard and overlapping feet.

Bust of Boss Joaquin Lopes, inaugurated in 1976, where you can read some verses of Tomáz Ribeiro. Stood out for being Boss of saves lives, having saved many lives in Barra do Tejo.
