The early church was built in the 16th century, suffering after renovations in the 18th century. In 1925 the Church collapsed and, in 1929, was partially rebuilt. Inside, the chancel paintings and altarpieces.

Hospital building dating from the early 20TH century, showing a plant in "H" composed of three bodies. Initially, functioned as a sanatorium and, since 1961, as Orthopaedic Hospital.

The restaurant DOC is on marginal Road between the ruler and the pinion gear, one of the most beautiful routes of the country. It was here, that was born a restaurant early on took to make history.

Baroque chapel with a single nave, a chancel and a vestry located near foursquare, with gable roof coverage. It was built in the second half of the 18th century, as confirming the date entered in a window-1780. Featured on the frontispiece for a Bell bow.

The Sorraia River is one of the main tributaries of the Tagus and results from the junction of two streams, the Sor stream and the Raia stream. Almost at the mouth, it receives the river Almansor, increasing its flow and finally entering the Tagus.

Belvedere offering a great view over the Machico bay and São Lourenço peninsula. The name of this place pays homage to the famous poet and writer, born in Machico, Francisco Álvares de Nóbrega.

Bronze statue raised to pay homage to the eminent professor and surgeon Bissaya Barreto (1886-1974). It has a stone basis with the following inscription: “Let us do our children happy”.

Ancient mother church of Almada, it was building in the early Christian reconquest and was severely damaged by the earthquake in 1755. It was later rebuilt in the 18th century by Dom António, a brother of the king Dom João V. The chancel has a stone domed ceiling in the manuelin style. The high altar has a few tombs and valuable 18th century tiles. Archaeological digs have uncovered tombs from as early as the 12th century.

The Solar do Morgado de Macedo offers a manor house environment with the convenience of today. In the city centre, the feeling that transmits within the isolation of its walls, is the tranquillity of the countryside.

Some remains show the occupation of this site in Luso-Roman times. Remains of the fortress remain today, framed by four corner towers, a Suevo-Visigothic door and a Mozarabic window.
