Dam on the Alva River, Mondego River Basin, used to control river flooding and to divert inflows to Aguieira through a tunnel.

From this viewpoint we can get fine panoramic views over the town from the top, the green hills around and, in the background, the sea. In the surrounding mountains often found herds of cows.
