Rural house located in the foothills of the Lagoa do Fogo, within 200 metres of altitude, surrounded by agricultural land. The name of the place comes from a plantation of Protea that there still exists. It offers a living room, a bedroom with bathroom, a mezzanine with sleeping area and a kitchen.

Work of the sculptor Agostinelli, paying homage to the traditional florists of Madeira. During many years it was at the Hotel Atlantis Madeira, but after its demolition it was offered to Santa Cruz autarchy that placed it on the gardens of the Casa da Cultura (Culture house) at Quinta do Revoredo.

From the primitive church it has only kept the decorative elements existing on the behead modillions. The present façade and the bell ringer tower were built on the second half of the 16th century. The defensive tower placed next to the church is from the end of the Middle age.

An 18th century monument consisting of a granite cross covered with tiles and sheltered by a vaulted porch, with a square plan, crowned by a lantern. In the inner corners, the images of the evangelists appear. It was built in the place where, according to tradition, the image of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos appeared.

Monument in honour of those who died in combat, in defence of national ideals and on continuity of Portugal as independent country. By Carlos Batista and Warrior Badshah, the tribute is made through the headstones placed in the wall of the Fort, with the official list of fighters who gave their lives for Portugal.

Built by António Nobre in 1675, it portraits one of the episodes of Christ’s Passion, from its condemnation until his death at Calvary. This “Steps” or small chapels were a place of cult for Catholics doing the Via Sacra, nine “Steps”, as a symbol of Jesus suffering.

The campsite of the grass of the Portuguese sports venue stubs is the ideal place for all lovers of winter sports, like skiing and snowboarding, among other sporting activities. Its main points of interest precisely the artificial ski track and the nursery of Trout, attractions not to be missed.

Pedra da Anixa is a zoological reserve where the characteristic plant and marine animal diversity of rocky coasts is most evident. Located in Portinho da Arrábida, it is an example of a rocky outcrop amidst vast stretches of underwater sand, giving this place a unique character.

The âncora river has its mouth near Forte de Cão, in the place with the same name as the river. The fishing activity may be encountred near the mouth. It may be sailed in an xtension of two kilometres to the interior and its banks, reservoirs and engines are of great beauty.

Quiet and secluded beach, almost deserted, located next to an ancient fishing factory. The beach is mostly composed of large pebbles. The sea is calm waters. Given the location and ambience, is a beach without any type of infrastructure, wanted for caravanning site or knowledgeable of the place.
