Urban ensemble formed by edifications of several periods, from the XVII century until the end of the XIX century. It begins at the Glória lift, where a palace (now used by the post) stands, and ends in a house belonging to the Ordem Soberana de Malta. Seize the opportunity to take a walk though the beautiful gardens on the area.

The movie theater Alba is a space of presentation, production, reception and creation of artistic designs amateurs and professionals, working in conjunction with the spaces belonging to the cultural network of the municipality of Albergaria-a-Velha. Its programming promotes the training, qualification and loyalty through public art projects that focus on the use of material and immaterial resources of the territory.

Built during the reign of King Afonso III, it sits atop a rocky hillock next to the town. The castle, shaped like a quadrangular star, has a keep approximately 15 meters high. Several semi-spherical domes still remain at the corners of the wall, with slits for the use of firearms. It houses a museum inside.

The silk industry developed during the reign of Afonso V, with the first factory being established in Vila Viçosa. Silk is woven on wooden looms, similar to those used for wool and linen. Freixo de Espada à Cinta is the only place in the entire Iberian Peninsula where silk is still 100% handcrafted.

The Estádio Municipal da Marinha Grande was opened in 1992. The use of the turf field must be requested in advance. Also has athletics track which runs from Monday to Friday, from 6:0 pm to 9:0 pm, and on Saturdays, from 10:0 to 12:0-requires no appointment.

The Santa Rita Hydroelectric Museum is based on the Santa Rita Hydroelectric Power Station, inaugurated on October 5, 1914. It presents a permanent exhibition of a set of parts and equipment related to the production of electrical energy, using the Vizela river water as its driving force. Includes a wide range of objects, indoor and outdoor.

Traditional building, used in musical manifestations, located in the center of the Garden Florêncio Terra. It is a hexagonal structure, flanked by small statues of female figures. One of them shows the Foundation date: 1883. The stage is accessible through three steps and a small hallway. The traditional colours are: Red structure with elements of white support.

The church has a façade flanked by bell ringer towers, triangular gables, the nave is in vault shape and the main chapel is covered by a dome. The inside has a rectangular plan and it is covered with glazed tiles panels within the type “carpet”. The baptismal chapel is wrapped with the same glazed tiles used on the church nave body.

This bridge serves as an entrance to the center of the village of Nordeste for those coming from Ribeira Grande and Ponta Delgada and was built in 1882. Not even its narrow width hides its beauty, one of the most beautiful in the entire archipelago. At night, with the lamps lit, it seems to take us back to the end of the 19th century.

This urban street was built on the first half of the 16th century; hence it shows many Renaissance characteristics. It has a large, long and straight path with about 460 metres long and 12.50 metres large. It starts in Santa Cruz Monastery and finishes in Santa Cruz hillside. Formerly, the University College used to be here.
