Chronologically organized, the museum's collections are divided into prehistory, Roman, Muslim, and Portuguese periods (up to the 17th century). Highlights include Iron Age funerary stelae with inscriptions of the Southwest Iberian Peninsula script, considered the region's first written language.

Space where you can learn a little about the history of the people of Borba, known through the eyes of Joaquim Azinhal Abelho, born in Orada, where he was born on April 13, 1911. He had a degree in Romance Philology and ended up developing a great interest in the Alentejo ethnography, in addition to being a compiler of the Cartas de Florbela Espanca. He died in Lisbon, but is buried in the Orada cemetery.
