From the Abadim viewpoint, it's possible to see a large part of the municipality. This spot offers panoramic views of the natural beauty and typical houses of the region.

Located in Solar dos Aguillares, a stately building from the 12th and 14th centuries, this museum, born from Raul de Sá Correia's passion for everything that concerns his land, is a source of pride for Vila Flor and even the district for its collections of painting, archeology and ethnography, African crafts, sacred art, numismatics and medals. Its contents, a gift from Vilaflorenses over the years, are now the heritage of the local people, so that their "yesterday" remains alive, and future generations know that Vila Flor has a past that needs to be preserved.

This is a Mannerist convent with a church in the shape of a Latin cross, a single nave, and a two-story cloister. Due to its characteristics, it fits into the typology of the monumental 17th-century churches of classicist and erudite style in the Porto region. Luís Mourato followed in his father's footsteps, first as a pitchfork and now as host of the family's restaurant, which has been in existence for more than 30 years. A tribute to the bullfighting universe, the references are not limited to the decoration. The menu, where beef predominates, specialises in this matter with grilled kebabs and bull tenderloin. Considered the largest archaeological crypt in the country, it is located beneath the Castle of Alcácer do Sal, now transformed into the Pousada D. Afonso II. It presents traces of the Iron Age dating from the 6th century BC, as well as structures from the Roman period and the Islamic occupation, covering a considerable area. Medieval walls from the post-Reconquista Christian era were also found, based partially on Roman walls which, in turn, overlap older pre-existing structures dating from the Iron Age.

The journey on the Teleférico da Penha begins at the aerial tramway's terminal. It offers unique views of the city until it reaches its peak, on the Alto da Penha. There, apart from the belvederes with excellent views, there are also restaurants, bars, a hotel, a camping park, a mini-golf course, a maintenance circuit, picnic areas and, for the most adventurous, caves just waiting to be discovered.

From the second highest parish in Portugal one may view one of the most dazzling landscapes that the country has to offer. From the top, at an altitude of 1052 metres, one may view the Montemuro mountain with the Paiva valley to the north and the granite Caramulo mountain to the south. One should also go down to the village of Pena and to its schist covered valley.
