It is placed above Zêzere River and it was built during Felipe’s period between 1607 and 1610. It replaced a former Roman bridge which, meanwhile was flooded by Bouçã lagoon. It has three arches with 62 metres high. The road that crosses this bridge linked Beira Baixa and Beira Litoral until the construction of Cabril´s dam.

The São Jacinto Camping Park, located on a peninsula between the sea and the estuary, is located in a pine forest. It is a calm and peaceful place, perfect for enjoying your holidays in complete harmony with nature. It has several accommodation possibilities, such as bungalows, and is 20 minutes from the sea or the estuary. Also, unmissable are the walks through the dunes of São Jacinto.

In this pleasant green area we find a small fishing port and a natural pool. Classified as a Natural Reserve, is surrounded by volcanic rocks, protecting holidaymakers from the wind. This is where lies the chapel of our Lady of the angels, the famous place where Christopher Columbus stopped to pray during the return voyage of the discovery of America in 1493.

Situated on the right bank of the River Douro, three kilometres from its mouth, the marina do Freixo serves those who use the river for recreation, work, tourism or sport. Has winch until 10 tons, place for 78 vessels to 16 meters long, as well as restaurant, changing rooms and a Yacht Club.

Cabo Sardão is the westernmost point of the Alentejo Coast, a place of absolute harmony between land and sea, guarded by a lighthouse. This is a transit point along the coastal road connecting Almograve to Zambujeira. Near the cliff, you can admire the veins carved into the rocky walls, the islets nesting along the coast, and the white storks that nest here.
