Installed on a small promontory, the fortress was built in the 16th century, during the reign of Dom Sebastião. In 2000 suffered recovery works and was transformed into a Pousada de Portugal. It is inserted in the central area of the Angra do Heroísmo city, classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO.

Convent built in the 17th century on the site of a former chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Conception. It comprises the convent building, the cloister, and a small temple with Mannerist and popular features. The interior features the high altar and gilded altars. It underwent restoration work in 1810 and 1980.

This space has undergone several renovations, but still retains traces of Gothic military architecture, such as the twin windows with pointed arches. This space was formerly the site from which the Sousas of Riba de Vizela's lands were defended, as evidenced by the tower at the back of the church.

Built in the site of an ancient Moorish mosque, it was restored as Chapel of Misericórdia in 1499. Rebuilt after the earthquake in 1755, it still keeps the portal and the triumphal arch from the gothic 15th century construction. The chapel, the hospital and the ancient hostel are classified as Building of Public Interest.

Former College of the Jesuits, erected on the site where there were the residences of the Távora family, and since 1776 the residence of the captains Generals of the Azores. Inside, there are valuable works of art and furniture, including the best collection of Dutch 17TH-century tiles that exist outside the Netherlands.

Seventeenth-century source based on a platform with three steps. In addition to the tank, highlighted by a tall obelisk consisting of four records with four fish whose mouth pours water. Medão Beach, better known as Supertubos Beach due to its fast, tubular waves, is internationally renowned for attracting surfers, bodyboarders, and windsurfers year-round, hosting international events related to these sports. Located at the southern entrance to Peniche, it is surrounded by dunes and boasts a vast stretch of sand.
