Located on a limestone elevation, this castle has a keep dating from the time of Dom Dinis, which stands out for its volume. It was after the reconquest from the Moors that King Dinis had the castle completely remodeled, which had housed the Moors for 400 years. Later, King João I ordered the fortress to be expanded, but the War of Succession and the 1755 earthquake contributed to its state of ruin. A 14th-century Gothic temple with flying buttresses and a porch. Its floor plan consists of a horizontal articulation of the apse with the nave, built entirely of finely cut marble ashlar, with a nave covered by a gable roof supported by flying buttresses with a pendentive cornice and a perfect arch span. The portico stands out, a simple pointed-arch span framed in beveled ashlar, flanked by tiled wainscoting. Also worthy of special attention is the apse with a polygonal front of two bays marked by buttresses, which also finish the radial axes. The interior is lined with 18th-century historiated tiles.

Chapel dedicated to St. Anthony, on the main façade has a portal flanked by two rectangular cracks in the stretch and horizontal gable a slender Bell Tower surmounted by a cross. Maria da Fonte, or revolution of the Minho, is the name given to a popular revolt that occurred in the spring of 1846 against the cartista Government presided by António Bernardo da Costa Cabral, due to new military recruitment laws, fiscal alterations and the prohibition to carry out burials inside churches. A Romanesque temple founded by the Canons Regular of Saint Augustine, it is the only example of a monastic church in the present-day municipality of Cinfães. The façade features a portal with three archivolts and capitals decorated with zoomorphic motifs and a decorated tympanum. On the south façade, there are two portals with Romanesque motifs. Set of anthropomorphic graves excavated in a granite outcrop, located near agricultural land south of the chapel of St. Alexius. The area of the head and shoulders well laid out and the funnel to the feet. Most of the graves, fourteen of the fifteen found, lies in high State of erosion. It is an isolated necropolis, where only one of the graves is whole and without cover, also with prominent shoulders curve, the arched headboard and the feet are not protruding.
