Housed in the city's former Bishop's Palace, this museum was established in 1917. The most notable feature of the museum's collection is its eclecticism. The collection is primarily from the 18th century, spanning the period from the 1st century to the present day, with a clear emphasis on the Renaissance period. Highlights include the Flemish tapestries and paintings by Vasco Fernandes. The Gothic transept located here is classified as a Property of Public Interest.

Urban Palace with two floors, whose original construction dates from the 15th century. After being badly damaged by the earthquake of 1755, it was rebuilt between 1835 and 1836, settling here the Judicial Court of judicial district. In 1841, part of the building became the National Theatre, later called Teatro Virginia. Currently, it houses the headquarters of the Association of Defense of heritage and the band Torrejana Workers.

The palace is built between 1770/1790, being the residence of Jacinto Fernandes Bandeira, the first Porto Covo baron. The building is later bought by the British State and became the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Lisbon. The palace is organized in U, integrating the chapel as a semi-autonomous entity. At the garden may be seen a tank with a small cascade and a small swimming-pool built for the workers for the company that presently runs here.

The mills according to the American model appeared in Portugal, especially in the Estremadura and Beira Litoral, at the beginning of the 20th century. In the parishes of Sintra, Oeiras and Cascais, only in Cascais are there two examples of this structure. Composed of a large metal structure and na enormous wheel that used the wind energy, it had big production costs, whuch was a reason for it not to be widespread. The cereals used here were wheat, corn and rye.

The former recreational estate of the Bishops of Porto, comprising a beautiful 18th-century house in the purest Baroque style and with a strong influence from the school of Nicolau Nasoni – it is thought that the statuary and some architectural elements may even be his work. Here we find the beautiful "Gardens of Maia", fountains, chapels and a swimming pool. Inside, the chapel with its 17th-century gilded altarpiece deserves mention.
