A natural belvedere on the São Marcos Hill, with views opf several parishes, namely Tondela, since it is located on one of the hillsides of the Caramulo mountain. One may view the Estrela Mountain and a wide area of forests, namely of pine trees and eucaliptus trees. Closer by there are local chestnut trees and oak trees.

In the Valley of ribeira da Caniça, a tributary of the river Alva, you will find landscapes of great natural beauty, including the beautiful waterfalls of ribeira and Buraca da Moura, a small cave located at the foot of the mountain.

This is one of the small villages of the Natural Park of the Estrela Mountain, at an altitude of 580 metres. Most of its inhabitants are farmers these days, even though the culture of linen used to be an activity until quite recently. The houses are made of granite, which is an architectural feature of this region. Nearby, one may visit the Caldeirão dam or practise mountaineering.
