Bounded to the north by Minhéu and to the south by Padrão de Teixeira, covering a length of 50 km, this park covers the municipalities of Mondim de Basto and Vila Real and the Serras do Alvão and Marão. In the Valley of ribeira da Caniça, a tributary of the river Alva, you will find landscapes of great natural beauty, including the beautiful waterfalls of ribeira and Buraca da Moura, a small cave located at the foot of the mountain.

The Miradouro da Ermida da Senhora da Cola is a popular pilgrimage site, from where it is possible to enjoy a fabulous landscape over the valleys of Ourique.

A two kilometres long pedestrian walk that connects Chão da Ribeira to Seixal.

The Casas da Ribeira reservoir is a paradisiacal place, located in Ribeira de Eiras.

This is one of the small villages of the Natural Park of the Estrela Mountain, at an altitude of 580 metres. Most of its inhabitants are farmers these days, even though the culture of linen used to be an activity until quite recently. The houses are made of granite, which is an architectural feature of this region. Nearby, one may visit the Caldeirão dam or practise mountaineering.

This trail begins and ends at Faial da Terra, traveling about five kilometres. The path starts along the shore, with hot water all year round, and then to the waterfall nail heel, the Place of the Sanguine and, finally, the return to Faial da Terra.
