This granite monument, shaped like a mushroom, stands over 2 meters tall. It has a peculiar morphology, resembling a mushroom, with the base narrower than the top, and the height greater. Its symbolism became an attraction, as it was customary for local girls to throw a stone at the menhir to find out if their marriage was imminent. Each lost stone represented a year of waiting. Today, it is still observed on the first Monday of Easter.

Consisting of two metal decks, which were intended to make the road connection between Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto, this bridge measures 395 meters in length and 8 meters in width, comprising 5.5 meters of carriageway and 1.25 meters meters of walkways. This construction, designed by the engineer Teófilo Seyrig, was one of the largest works in the road plan carried out by the monarch Luís I.

The suckling pig, which is baked in the traditional oven tiles, heated wood and arriving to the restaurant just to 12:0 and 5:0 pm, complete the sandwiches that are sold there. The small sandwich costs 3.90 € and the largest, 4.90 €, but the restaurant customer specification, also sells out, whole suckling pig, 22€, or retail\/kg for 24 €\/kg.

The Peneda, a small mountain village with the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Peneda, is better known for having lent its name to the mountain it is located on. A place of lush vegetation, steep water streams and breathtaking natural views, it is fit for strolls or more radical activities.
