São Jorge Island is also known as the "Island of Fajãs" due to the massive presence of these fertile spots, dotted with the occasional white house dotting the landscape. Fajã das Almas, also known as Fajã do Calhau, is another of these rare beauties, well worth a careful visit. Don't miss the Chapels of Nossa Senhora das Almas and Santo Cristo, the harbor, and the swimming area.

The top of the Bonanza consists of two bedroom apartments and a Villa T3 with capacity for 7 people. The houses are typical of the island of Pico, made in stone and with red Windows, overlooking the sea and in one of the most beautiful fronts to the mountain and to the island of São Jorge. The project consisted in the recovery, reconstruction and modernisation of a rural household, consisting of the main house, a granary, a hayloft and a tank, in regional stone.

Created in 1977 in the former Jesuit College, this museum tells the history of the island and the city of Horta. The exhibition consists of ethnographic objects (by highlighting the laces and handcrafted made from fig tree), nautical, technological objects (linked to the history of communications) and artistic. It also features an exhibition of sacred art in the 16th and 17th centuries, of elements and religious figures gathered in churches and chapels of the island.

This is one of many existing ponds on the island of Flores. Belong to the set of Seven Lakes that were formed into seven volcanic craters caused by the eruptions that gave rise to the island. The remaining ponds of this set are the White Pond, Long Pond, Black Lagoon, Lagoa da Lomba, Deep lagoon and the Lagoa Seca. It is located at an average height of 600 metres above sea level.

This sports and cultural complex is the largest green space in the city and a favorite spot for the residents of Cartaxo, and not only them. Besides a large lawn and an area with large trees, including a "hidden" bandstand, it houses facilities such as municipal swimming pools, tennis courts, and four rings for other sports. It also has a children's playground and houses the Rural and Wine Museum and the Viticultural Promotion Center.

The parish church of Curros, dedicated to our Lady of the snows, is deployed south of the village of Curros, away from housing cluster, flanked by a forecourt enclosed by a granite wall, where you will find the cemetery. Is a granite building of rectangular plant oriented Northeast\/Southwest. The main façade, with a porch, has a round arch portal, ends in Gable, with cornice, crowned by a Latin cross about acroterion. A pedestrian trail along the Levada do Moinho. Levadas are ingenious irrigation systems on the islands hillsides that bring the water - born on the mountain top - to the valleys and hillsides.
