The building, also known as the Prison House, dates from the 16th century and is located in Pereiras, in the parish of Refojos. Its purpose is to support cultural activities related to all types of music, and it also serves as the headquarters of the century-old Banda Cabeceirense.

Esta construção grandiosa, de planta poligonal irregular, situa-se no Baluarte de Nossa Senhora das Brotas, e teve várias utilizações, como Trem de Artilharia ou Quartel do Destacamento de Artilharia, até assumir as atuais funções. Após ter caído em ruínas na segunda metade do século XIX, foi posteriormente requalificado no final do século XXI, mantendo algumas estruturas originais como o portal coroado com as armas reais, o edifício das manjedouras, o muro circular e as paredes laterais com contrafortes. É composto por cavalariças, com capacidade para 21 cavalos, zonas de trabalho e picadeiros coberto e aberto, entre outras áreas.

In the heart of the historic center, the Church of São Pedro stands out, with a chapel in the Alentejo Gothic style, dating from the 16th century. Afterwards, stroll through its narrow streets, where you will find some restaurants, cafes, and small shops.

Ample green space, with leafy trees, several gardens, some statues, a lovely bandstand (from the architect Silva Pinto), benches and a half-pipe. At the time of the Queima das Fitas (a students’ party) it welcomes the Noites do Parque (Park Nights).

Pedestrian route with a length of around ten kilometers and a medium degree of difficulty. Along the way you can enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape, coming into full contact with nature. To follow this trail you will need to obtain authorization from the forestry services.

This friendly beach bar was born from a surf school, which still exists today. In its pleasant terrace you can have a drink or a light meal, being very frequented by surfers. Occasionally has live music and themed parties.

Bar with 20 years, English style, with armchairs and upholstered sofas, games area and interior terrace covered with garden. During the week, the music ranges from the bossa nova, jazz and lounge. Weekends increases the pace between the commercial and the house vocal.

A typical mountain village on one of the Caramulo Mountain's foothills. Mostly composed of small granite houses, with rather steep rooftops and quite narrow streets. The inhabitants are farmeers and shepherds and protect themselves from the cold and the rain by wearing dark wool coats.

A very old village in a granite land, surrounded by pine trees, eucaliptus trees and bushes. It is a grandiose natural heritage. From pre-history there are imposing megalithic monuments. Several churches and chapels, as well as a pillory with some manuelin vestiges stand out.

Museum set in a house dating from the end of the 18th century. It was opened in 1981 and displays a vast array of Lima Couto's personal objects and many originals, especially correspondence exchanged with friends, as well as a rich art collection consisting of furniture and paintings.
