The Citânia de Sanfins emerged around the 1st century BC and extends over approximately 15 acres. A proto-historic fortified settlement, with a regular layout and buildings forming blocks, surrounded by three lines of walls. It shows evidence of occupation during Roman and medieval times. Of particular note is the discovery of a bathing monument and a necropolis composed of more than thirty burials.
