Espaço especialmente dedicado à tradição mais autêntica do Fado clássico. Para além dos concertos diários ao final da tarde, as noites de sexta, sábado e domingo prestam homenagem a personalidades que marcaram a história do Fado. Dinamizam ainda concertos de Fado dedicados a temáticas específicas e aulas de canto para Fado, de guitarra portuguesa e de viola, workshops e tertúlias de poesia para Fado Tradicional.

Espaço onde se realizam os mais diversos espetáculos culturais, constituído por um Grande Auditório, com capacidade para 500 pessoas, um Pequeno Auditório, com capacidade para 150 pessoas, um Auditório Exterior, com capacidade para 700 pessoas, um Foyer, o Museu do Som e da Imagem, uma sala de exposições, uma oficina de artes, a Galeria-Bar, o Café-Concerto e algumas esplanadas.

Foi a maior empresa do setor corticeiro em Portugal e, durante algum tempo, do mundo. Reconhecida pela sua política social inovadora, ficou intimamente ligada à vida de muitas gerações de seixalenses, sendo por isso um ponto de passagem obrigatório para quem visita o concelho. Os antigos refeitórios da fábrica foram transformados num moderno restaurante e bar, com vista privilegiada para a Baía do Seixal.

Building where the XV century Porto’s trade exchange ran. It has the medieval arms of the Casa de Avis, which recall the role of the King Dom João I on the renovation of the present Infante Dom Henrique Street. The building was restored in the reign of Dom Afonso V and became, also, the entrance to the Casa da Moeda (mint), from which you still can see the XVI century door. It was the Crown’s and the morgados de Fermedo property, one of the families that ennobled this important street and business centre of the old town.

Temple founded in 1570 by the religious Agostinhos Calçados, in the place where the hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Luz existed. It was later sold to private individuals. Single-nave church with a floor plan almost like a Greek cross. It is made up of a chancel and two side chapels that end in painted domes with lantern tower. Highlights include the Renaissance portico, made of marble, with medallions in the corners and a shell pediment, as well as the galilee, formed by round arches based on granite columns. The bell tower is topped by a small dome.

It is in this square that you can find what remains of the old Convent of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, the church of Oliveira and the beautiful cloister inserted in the Alberto Sampaio Museum. In front of the church, you can see the pattern that recalls the victory of D. Afonso IV over the Moors, in 1340, in the battle of Salado. The Quinta do Mosteiro (Monastery Farm) was founded in 1060 by the religious order of the Agostinhos da Santa Cruz. Abandoned for years, it was only in the 17th century that its reconstruction began, ordered by the prior Brandão, and came to a conclusion in 1622. By the end if the 19th century, The Quinta do Mosteiro reached all its splendour, when it was the property of Luís de Magalhães which was the friend of many writers such as Oliveira Martins and Eça de Queirós.
