Temple founded in 1570 by the religious Agostinhos Calçados, in the place where the hermitage of Nossa Senhora da Luz existed. It was later sold to private individuals. Single-nave church with a floor plan almost like a Greek cross. It is made up of a chancel and two side chapels that end in painted domes with lantern tower. Highlights include the Renaissance portico, made of marble, with medallions in the corners and a shell pediment, as well as the galilee, formed by round arches based on granite columns. The bell tower is topped by a small dome.

The Quinta do Mosteiro (Monastery Farm) was founded in 1060 by the religious order of the Agostinhos da Santa Cruz. Emphasis on the tiles, depicting scenes of colonial evangelism, as well as for its imposing library with approximately 7,300 works. In the Church of the seminary, deserves special attention the high altar of style hispano-Arabic and the magnificent 18TH century bellows organ, and several paintings of the painter Bento Coelho da Silveira. The seminar also explores the agricultural strand through a large production of wine, marketed under the brand name "lands of d. Nuno".
