O Dom Pedro Pinhal deve a sua personalidade ao designer original Frank Pennink e a Robert Trent Jones Sr., que fez uma série de refinamentos significativos em 1985. O primeiro conjunto de 9 buracos serpeiteiam por entre pinheiros bravos, enquanto os outro 9 retornam em campo aberto e leve declive ascendente, proporcionando fabulosas vistas para o mar.

This church is already mentioned in documents dating from 1220, as an integral part of the patronage of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Pombeiro. However, the current building has features of later Gothic influence, even though Romanesque construction was used. The chapel was probably built in the 13th century, when King Mendo de Sousa moved to Vila Verde. Today, evidence of frescoes by Mestre Arnaus can still be seen in the chancel, as weel as the plasterwork decorated with paintings in the nave.

O restaurante e taberna regional Gininha, em Vila Verde, serve boa comida regional, numa ambiente a fazer lembrar as antigas tabernas. As especialidades são mais que muitas, destacando-se o cabrito assado no forno, o arroz pica no chão (cabidela), o cozido à portuguesa, o arroz de pato, a vitela mendinha assada no forno e ainda as papas de serrabulho, na sua época.

The Gold Museum is housed in a goldsmith's workshop at Casa de Alfena (now a rural tourism accommodation unit) and is part of a group of workshops dating back to the 18th century. This space aims to showcase the identity of a community linked to gold work since ancient times. The museum is the result of the efforts of a goldsmith from Travassos, Francisco de Carvalho e Sousa, who, over fifty years of activity, collected gold objects, utensils, and furniture, now exhibited here.

The Carnival is one of the region's main attractions. The celebrations include a parade of four parts, two in each of the towns, Nelas and Canas de Senhorim. The Carnival apoeals to the public's participation, as well as of local groups.

A tourism train that offers guided tours to some monuments, as well as lovely panoramic views. The tour is free. Those interestd must contact the Posto Municipal de Informação (Municipal Information Office).

2 km course, the "path Taken toward the Dam" begins and ends in the river beach of the monastery. Allows the contact with nature and with the past of the County, closely linked to the ribeira de Pena and existing infrastructures.
