Small pilgrimage hermitage with beautiful Pombaline tile panels. Rebuilt in the 18th century at the behest of King João V. The elegance of its main façade stands out, with rococo mortar work. Inside, the Baroque is already fully established in the large gilded and polychrome structures that spill over from the altarpieces.

Built by King Dinis, there are currently traces and remains of the old castle, around two meters high. Being an important historical testimony, you can see the strong citadel and a walled enclosure.

The occupation began in the Bronze Age, with fortification works being reinforced during the period of Arab occupation. It is part of the Castro da Cola archaeological park, which is made up of several megalithic monuments, Chalcolithic settlements and necropolises from the Bronze and Iron Ages.

Simple restaurant, decorated with a panel of tiles on the wall, flanked by Windows, in addition to some pottery of the region that make the room brighter and more enjoyable. The specialty is the boar stew, but there are other suggestions also recommended.

Granite block located in the upper part of the village. It started out being called Penedo do Cheira, as it was located above the town of Cheira, but was later given the name Penedo de Castro, in 1908, in honor of the writer Augusto Mendes Simões Castro. This location offers an impressive panoramic view over Penacova.

Dam located on the Mondego River, with cool, tree-lined banks. The practice of sporting and leisure activities is permitted, with restrictions.
