It is said, this manor belonged to a large family, being one of the many properties of this across the country. The coat on the Solar input is associated with Barroso families (whose symbol are quadrupedal animals) and Mc (whose symbol are the towers). You can also see, on top, a Crown of towers on a suit of armor. The old chapel dedicated to Santa Rita is currently working as a Court of Cows. In front of the solar, there is also a diving source dated 15th or 16th century.

This huge bronze statue, by Germano José Sales, represents the king Pedro IV with a laurel wreath, holding the constitution that replaced the former one in 1822. At the basis are visible four women statues, symbolizing the virtues of a good government: justice, prudence, strength and moderation.

Monument dating from the 17th century and consists of five bastions: Santa Catarina, São Pedro, good news, Espírito Santo and Santa Luzia. In 1959, the Fort suffered conservation works, in 1997 the Church was fully recovered and in 2000\/2001 was rebuilt the wall.

Next to the Assembly of the Republic is the XL. Refined house, which works only for dinner, with a menu that features traditional Portuguese dishes in particular, made by the hands of chef Domingos Azevedo. Serves some Spanish and French gastronomic specialities. Very good wine cellar.
