This site provides beautiful views of almost the entire island from the grasslands to the blue sea.

A work from the end of the 18th century, it was built on the site of the apparition of an image of the Crucified Christ.

It is integrated into the Rota dos Sabores, and is one of the places where you can buy regional products, such as olive oil.

From this viewpoint you will have a magnificent view over the Tagus River and its green banks.

The Castro de Vila Cova à Coelheira is well signposted but to access to the site will have to go on foot or by all-terrain vehicle (about 2 km). There are visible to the wall and the remains of a medieval village probably developed around this castro. It's dated the first iron age.
