Located in Praça Velha, this 16th-century Manueline-style building stands out for its architecture and the elements that characterize it. On the main façade, the balcony, the Coat of Arms of Portugal, the Coat of Arms of D. Manuel, the Armillary Sphere, and a tombstone in Latin, from 1646. Above the main door, there is a belfry, now without a bell, which in the past announced the closing of the city's defensive gates. Institutions such as the City Council or the jail have already operated in this place, which currently houses the Embroidery Interpretation Centre.

A circular urban trail approximately 3.5 km long, winding through the streets of Costa Nova do Prado. It offers an insight into the life, stories, traditions, and flavors of a town primarily linked to fishing.

Besides the "pedra d'anta" and th roman road, one should visit the mother church, the convent of the friars of Saint Augustine and the railway bridge.The high areas of the Côa valley are also pleasant.

Located next to the Alqueidão Fort, a place of great historical significance, this is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Estremadura. From here you can appreciate a panorama that stretches across the entire Atlantic coast from the Berlengas Islands to the Arrábida Mountains, with the Montejunto Mountains, the Tagus River and the Ribatejo floodplain to the North and East.

Built in the 18th century, with designs by Nicolau Nasoni, the Casa de Mateus is a landmark of Portuguese Baroque. The chapel, on the other hand, was designed by the master José Álvaro Rego. Established in 1970 by D. Francisco de Sousa Botelho de Albuquerque, its objectives are the preservation of the house, the study of its archives, and the promotion of cultural, scientific, and educational activities.
