The São João Baptista Church has carved altars, a font and old elements of decorative art, sculpted and painted. This church was built in the middle of the XVII century. This house belonged to the General João Sarmento Pimentel that, during the Seven Years War, was in Calais. The name of the house is due to the fact that the soldiers thought it looked like the inhabitants of that village, thus naming it Calaínho. It is a house with a coat of arms with a shield that has the arms of the Sarmentos, Pomentéis, Morais and Ferreiras.
