Bought by Mario Coelho, with early gains in money "hems", the old House of the Travessa do Alecrim, today transformed in Museum Mario Coelho, provides a "trip" for 40 years of his career. The photographs, trophies, costumes of "luces" represent an integral part of the history of bullfighting.

It overlooks the river and, according to archaeological excavations, was inhabited during the Iron Age and early Roman occupation. It is on the way to Colmeal da Torre that you can find this enigmatic building of Roman origin, classified as a National Monument since 1927. There are several theories and legends linked to this rectangular building with three floors, whose initial function remains undefined, but which was possibly integrated into a Roman villa. One of these legends maintains that it was a prison with 100 cells, where Saint Cornelius, who formerly also named it, would have been imprisoned.
