Campo Maior

Built between 1570 and 1646, it has a tripartite main façade with embedded pilasters. The central part features a wide round arch forming a narthex, surmounted by three windows with three pediments. On the sides, two strong bell towers covered by domes are visible. Inside, with three naves, the silver liturgical objects and vestments woven and embroidered with gold from the 16th century stand out. It is also known as the Church of Our Lady of Expectation.

Castelo de Vide

It is located in the medieval area of the village of Castelo de Vide, next to the castle, in the former Jewish quarter, as documented in the 14th and 15th centuries. The neighborhood was crossed by one of the castle's main communication routes, and its disintegration began during the reign of King Manuel I, following the decree imposing Catholic obedience on the Jews who, to avoid being forced to leave the village, gradually converted to New Christians. The main façade consists of a rounded portal and a circular oculus, flanked by a bell tower, the upper one having a double bell tower. The interior features the baptistery, which houses the baptismal font, the Mannerist niche, the painted panels of the chancel and altarpiece, and the Christ the Redeemer statue on the tabernacle door.

Vila Verde

Baroque rural church with a single nave and a chancel. The interior features Baroque gilded woodcarving in the “national style,” though already showing Joanine influence. It is possible that it was built during the 18th century to replace the old Romanesque church, of which only a few remnants remain. The main façade is marked by the doorway and the large choir window, both with straight lintels. To the left rises the bell gable, with two semicircular arches and two bells of different sizes.

Built between 1383 and 1410, it is a reference of the Gothic monumentality of the city, with an emphasis on the Romanesque portal with three arched gateways, the rosette symbolizing the Rosa Fortunae, the windows of the Manueline period and the three naves where the interior is divided, covered with gilded carving from the 17th and 18th centuries. It belonged to the Convent of the Observant Franciscans.
