A rural house with an irregular square plan, typical of the Madeira island, composed of a store on the ground floor and the owners's dwelling on the upper floor. It was built in the 19th century and was used as quarters in the fourties of the 20th century. It is badly preserved.

This area promotes the Natural Reserve of Mount Pico, intending to enhance the Island's natural heritage, recognizing the importance of the flora and fauna of this mountain. Also promotes some outdoor activities, doing guided tours to volcanic cavities.
